Each
day over the season our lifeguard patrols set out the red
and yellow flags on Pauanui Beach to show the safest place
to swim. Our lifeguards are trainied to identify potential
victims and potential dangers, and importantly to work proactively
with the public to prevent people getting in trouble.
To become a Lifeguard,
the ‘entry level’ qualification is the Surf Lifeguard Award.
We’re committed to ongoing learning and development of our
lifeguards and we pay for a wide range of course in lifesaving,
first aid, coaching and instruction, leadership, teamwork
and communication - all to help our lifeguards to help make
Pauanui Beach safer.
