The Pauanui Surf Life Saving
Club was established in 1972, and has actively patrolled Pauanui
Beach ever since, and in the process saved hundreds of lives.
The Pauanui Surf Life Saving Club actively manages and provides
lifeguard patrols and associated programmes at Pauanui Beach
over the summer period, all with the ultimate aim of preventing
death by drowning at Pauanui Beach.
Through a strong commitment to it members, the Pauanui Surf
Lie Saving Club fosters an inclusive environment for the promotion
and development of Surf Life Saving activities on Pauanui
Beach for the recreation, safety and entertainment of the
people using the beach.
The Pauanui Surf Life Saving Club encourages participation
and achievement in all areas of Surf Life Saving, from lifeguarding
and lifeguard development, to juniorsurf, to surfsports, and
through active participation in the governance of the Club.
The Pauanui Surf Life Saving Club is an incorporated society
formed under the Incorporated Societies Act 1908. The Club
is run by a number of volunteer committees, overseen by an
executive volunteer board.
